Home Up

North Central Texas has had a warmer and wetter than normal winter and
this has caused many trees to produce "root suckers". If not promptly pruned,
these growths can shoot up until they rival the height and girth of the main
tree trunk. This year's conditions were so unusual that they affected not only trees,
but also electric poles, fence posts, and even some traffic signals.

Here we see a pair of lumberjacks pruning a power pole sucker.

This very vigorous sucker was very nearly as tall as the power pole itself.

The little shields on the wires are to prevent pruning the high voltage cable.

The efficient lumberjacks complete the pruning job quickly.

A shot of Round-Up into the stump completes the job.

Blah, blah, blah.

Bob tells really fascinating stories.
