Squeaky's Song
Home Up

The sun upon my window sill
takes away the morning chill.

As I grow old and tired and gray,
I really love each sunny day.

Maybe Tigger is cute and pretty,
but I'm the cat who's wise and witty.

I'd like to write a set of rules
for people to learn in all their schools.

I'd make good laws to govern the house,
like nobody plays with my favorite mouse.

And cats may sleep wherever they're able,
and that includes the kitchen table.

Never ever bathe a cat,
unless you want a major spat.

And just one night when it's after ten,
don't look under the bed again.

Note: Technically, this is not doggerel. It's catterel.
