Downtown Savannah has many nice old homes with pretty gardens.

 

We did the downtown Savannah 10km walk. It's rated as one of the best walks in the U.S.

River Street - the river side of the Factors Walk buildings.

 

"The Waving Girl" - from 1870 - 1931 she waved a towel or a lantern (at night) at every single ship passing on the river.

 

Fort Pulaski. Named for the Polish General killed near Savannah while helping the American forces in the Revolution. The fort was designed and constructed in the 1840s by a West Point engineer graduate named Robert E. Lee.
